During the early 70’s the US experienced a sharp rise in gas prices, causing major problems to the economy, that is until the Alaskan Pipeline was devised to pull from the massive reservoir of oil the US owned instead of having to trade for it. In today’s educational animated cartoon we look at the way the Alaska Pipeline transformed the way oil could be shipped across over 800 miles during the oil crisis of 1973 .
